Welcome to the BEST WESTERN Derwent Manor

Set in 20 acres of Northumberland countryside overlooking the Derwent Valley, this country house hotel offers the warmest of welcomes. There are 48 spacious double bedrooms including five suites and most of our rooms have stunning views over the countryside.

Guinevere’s Restaurant  offers a fusion of modern and traditional English cuisine in traditional surroundings whilst the Grouse and Claret bar offers the warmth of a country pub with a full range of bar meals and snacks, served all day.

Best Western Derwent Manor enjoys a close proximity to the vibrant cities of Newcastle and Durham, and is ideally located for exploring the many tourist gems the North-East of England has to offer. Famous attractions include the magnificent Durham Cathedral, the 360 indoor shops in the Gateshead Metro Centre and Hadrian’s Wall.

Other attractions include Beamish Open Air Museum, Diggerland, Derwent Reservoir, the delightful market town of Hexham, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Barnard Castle and Corbridge Roman site. Just a walk or drive through the stunning Northumberland countryside can prove to be a most rewarding experience and the Derwent Manor has chosen this beautiful part of England as its home.

For those who wish to sample something a little more energetic, the hotel boasts its own Leisure Club or you could take a trip to Kielder Water for activities on Europe’s largest man-made lake.
